Road Closure in Blackburn - Barbara Castle Way

Following a serious road traffic collision, Barbara Castle Way is closed at the junction of Preston New Road. Due to the severity of the collision, the road is likely to remain closed for some time whilst accident investigation works take place.
Highways teams are currently in the process of setting up some extended closures at Preston New Road at the junction of Montague Street and also on Montague Street at the junction of Barbara Castle Way.
As can be expected, disruption to traffic is severe and it is advised that the area is avoided on journeys home this evening.
