MEP JOINS FORCES TO SAVE BEAUTY SPOT

Once more Chris Davies's well know green credentials where on show when he popped over to join the Rossendale LibDems at Cowm Reservoir in Whitworth.

Chris was there to help local campaigners continue their strong opposition to the Orange mobile phone company's plans to site a Mast at a location overlooking this much loved natural beauty spot.

Chris Davies was not only shown the proposed site by Lib Dem Parliamentary spokesman - Dale Mulgrew, but also signed a protest letter.

Mr Mulgrew added, '650 objectors signed a petition saying a huge NO against Orange's plans for this outstanding green recreational space, and still a cloud hangs over the site. This is because it is uncertain what will happen next as to date Orange have not acted to move the new mast in yet. '
