Lib Dems condemn £40,000 waste

Lib Dem Councillor, Paul Browne has condemned Blackburn with Darwen Council for spending £40,000 of taxpayers money on forcing a footpath through a farm in Darwen.
Cllr Browne said that the council paid £21,000 to a rights of way oficer, £4,900 for the borough solicitor, £5,900 for a barrister and £7,000 for a witness. He described not as highway robbery but footway robbery.
