Lib Dems back local residents in defending their homes

Labour controlled Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council have alienated many residents in the Sudell Road- Redearth Road area by attempting to gain a Compulsory Purchase Order without proper discussion and explanation of its plans for the area.

The residents had previously been led to believe that Housing Renewal would create better housing and a better environment for them and they would be involved in planning and agreeing the changes.

Now the council seems set on clearing the area as a result of declaring the present housing unfit for human habitation The residents are determined to fight this wholesale clearance and reminds the council that this is no way of creating a sense of belonging.

Liberal Democrat Councillors are giving residents their full support.
