Labour Councillors "whipped" into line

At the last Blackburn with Darwen Council meeting Labour councillors failed to stick up for what they believed and were forced by the party whips to toe the party line.
All the Labour councillors on the Policy & Review Scrutiny Committee supported a move to have 4 scrutiny committees - this received all-party support.
At the full council meeting the Labour leadership supported only 3 committees and the Labour councillors who had supported 4 meekly voted as they were told to, none of them supported their original proposal.
