Darwen South Tory Candidate Suspended

The Tory Candidate in Darwen South, Andrew Walker, has now been suspended by their National Party pending an investigation into his social media posts which showed support for the politics of far right extremist Tommy Robinson and saying stabbing former Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn should get you knighted.
The local Conservative Party has failed to make any comment and have not explained why, knowing he had resigned 2 years ago when accused of these posts, they decided to readmit him. Are the local Tories so desperate for candidates that they select anyone without a proper vetting procedure?
