Council Tax increase "a smack in the face" says Lib Dem Councillor

Blackburn with Darwen Council are proposing to increase the Council Tax by the maximum 3.99% at the Council Meeting on Monday (1 March). Darwen East Liberal Democrat Councillor, Roy Davies described it as "a smack in the face".

He said, "With unemployment still high and the uncertainty over coronavirus, I think there could not be a worse time to implement any rises in council tax. This will be a smack in the face to Blackburn with Darwen residents who have endured so much over the last 12 months."
